Obey God!

The journey of life can be filled with many crooks and turns. At times it may feel like you are riding a roller coaster. In all thy ways acknowledge God and he will direct your path. Remain steadfast and anchored in him and he will see you through.

1 Samuel 15:22 says “But Samuel replied: “Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams”.

Exodus 14:21-29 says “Moses raised his hand over the Red Sea, and the LORD caused a strong wind to blow from the east. The wind blew all night long. The sea split, and the wind made the ground dry. The Israelites went through the sea on dry land”.

The Grace & Glory of God

Oh my! Grace and glory are a dynamic duo. Grace is underserved favor from God, while glory is praise and honor. Knowing this should afford you much comfort in trusting that in every season God’s grace is sufficient. Remain patient and walk in purpose while being still in knowing God is always present. In the midst of all, allow the light on the inside of you to be brighter than the light shined on you. Why? Because after the affliction the glory of God will revive, renew and restore you into an era of exceedingly, and abundantly above all you could ever ask for think or imagine.

Romans 12:12
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer”.

Psalm 84:11
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly”.

Ebb and Flow

Life has chapters, seasons, or ebbs and flows. Our journey through life can be a complicated maze filled with lots of ups and downs or abundance or lack. Our last season nationally was a drought, but the dawn of a new season has ushered in. No matter the season God reminds us that he is with us. Don’t worry. Don’t give up. The forecast looks better. John 7:38 says, “Life is not like the tide of the sea which rises and falls; it is like a river which flows forever with living water “.

The Second Half

Anyone that knows anything about football knows halftime is when adjustments are made. As the teams enter the locker room, some are down and some are up, and all focus is placed on the coach as the second half game plan is drafted. After the halftime discussion the team eagerly exits the locker room ready to execute the game plan. As the teams walk down the tunnel towards the field, their excitement builds. As the teams positions themselves on the field, their coach looks onward as the football is kicked to commence the second half. There is an eagerness to determine whether the team will properly execute the game plan because many games are won in the second half.

Have you accessed your life and heard the still quiet voice of God and knew it was time for adjustments? Just like the football coach, the father, son and the holy spirit is your coach. However, many don’t sit still long enough to hear the voice of God. Allow God to draft your second half game plan and execute it without hesitation.

In life, the second half can occur after you have simply had enough and surrendered it all, during a major event, life crisis, at mid-life or on the first day of the second half of the year, July 1st. If you are in your second half, whether up or down, execute God’s game plan well. Doing so will require sincere prayer, self-reflection, accountability, the breaking of dysfunctional generational cycles, determination and consistency to garner winning results.

There is much light on the football field and in your second half. Be assured, the God ordained deposits you made in the first half will garner huge dividends in the second half upon execution of God’s game plan. If you made few deposits in the first half, humble yourself and be accountable for your actions, repent, turn from sin and speak to God and request his game plan for your life.

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV – Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Psalm 34:8 NIV – Oh taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusts in him.

The Wealth of Peace

Many spend year’s searching for peace in the physical by trying to obtain status or material possessions, but peace is spiritual. Peace is defined as a state of being free from war or disturbance and in a state of tranquility. Philippians 4:7 reminds us, “and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”. Often those on a quest to seek peace, create war within themselves and can cause collateral damage for those deeply connected to them. Take a moment to think about how you define peace and how you may be projecting your lack thereof onto others. Read God’s word, which is our life’s blueprint and allow it to marinate in your spirit and its directions to be displayed in your life. God is an all seeing and an all-knowing God. Man can be fooled, but we serve God that knows all. Surrender what troubles you and take accountability for the role you may play in your lack of peace. Make meaningful change and obtain counseling as needed. For anyone that has made it their intention to live a life of peace, keep pressing forward and remain in alignment. Don’t allow anything or anyone to take you off of your course.

The Needed Years

If the title of this blog post deeply resonates with you, you have been divinely guided here. Give yourself a pat on the back. You made it to the last day of 2022, and you are crossing over into 2023, with NO negative carryover. Like me, what you’ve experienced all of your life, was due to the anointing that’s on your life. Because of your obedience to faithfully honor God’s holy word in the midst of immense turmoil and seemingly unanswered prayers, he has delivered you from all of the unfairness you have endured. 2022 was a needed year. Quite frankly, ALL of the previous years were needed for what’s ahead. God has cleared your path and he has prepared you to receive his VERY best. He has removed everyone that was not supposed to remain with you along your journey. Although the revelations were very painful, it was for the best. What God is expeditiously releasing to you, will bless you and everyone that remains intimately connected to you. Run into 2023 knowing God’s love for you is endless…

A Feather in the Sky

Feathers of assorted colors and sizes are presented to me often and in various ways. However, today was the first time a huge, beautiful white feather appeared in the sky, right before me. It felt like the gates of heaven opened. You might ask, what do feathers represent? A feather is a sign that an angel is nearby, and the color of the feather delivers its message. A white feather comes from the purest of angels, and is a message of love, protection, light and peace. The presence of a feather can be very comforting, especially when clarity is desired. Psalm 91:4 says, “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart”. John 4:48 says, “Then said Jesus unto him, except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe”.

A New Day

The sun is shining! No matter what life throws your way remember, the rising of the sun affords another opportunity for God to reveal his glory. God’s holy word reminds us of this in Isaiah 60:1, “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you”. Go forth knowing, no evil will prevail over you because you are a child of the most high God who lives your life accordingly and his loving son, Christ Jesus holds you in the palm of his hand.

Make Lemonade

Life is for the living, however many are alive but crushed in spirit. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

– Trust God’s plan. Invite him into your life.
– Make immediate changes where needed.
– Maintain your endurance.
– Press on in faith.
– Remain patient.
– Enjoy your life.
– Stay focused.

God’s promises (HIS WILL) will be fulfilled in your life. God sees. God hears. God knows. God responds. Psalms 146:2 says, “I will praise the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being”. Enjoy your lemonade.
