Inner Voice

I am often asked how I find the content for my blog. First, lets change content to message. A message is delivered, or shall I say, received. I blog from the heart. My message is birthed from within. The source of inspiration, or “the root” of the message is derived from overcoming life challenges, or reflecting on life experiences. The message is short and specific and it is delivered when the spirit leads me to share it. The nudge to share the message often comes after a period of reflection, learning, or growth. Blogging is solace for me. I have a sincere desire to be a beacon of light for a hurting world. I know this is my divine purpose. Your comments and private messages further confirms this. How are you using your life experiences or inner voice? The Universe speaks if you will listen.

Breathe and Let Go!

“Breathe! Let go and remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure.” Oprah Winfrey

What a powerful reminder of the importance of being present; mindful. Soak in the reality of what’s around you. Grow where improvement is needed. Change the things that bother you. Meditate to release worry, fear and anxiety. Take a spirit or nature walk. Relax under the sun. Watch the sunrise and sunset. Be fair! Set healthy boundaries and demand others adhere to them. Live! Love! Laugh! Now, breathe and let go. You are worth receiving all that you desire.

Soar Like an Eagle!

The eagle is man’s connection to the divine. It conveys the powers and messages of spirit. Its symbolism is freedom, honesty, strength, courage and victory. Life can bring many challenges, disappointments and triumphs. During challenging times, will you bend or break? Bending feels like you are losing the race. Breaking feels like all hope is lost. Don’t grow weary! Don’t break! Stay in the race! Eventually new life and a fresh wind will appear beneath you to lift you. Next time you see an eagle, count its presence as victory; evidence of God’s goodness.

Soar! Much love and light!

Be Kind!

With everything that’s going on with us and around us, lets reflect on this passage from pastor John Pavlovitz.
“Everyone around you….is experiencing the collateral damage of living.
Every single human being you pass by today is fighting to find peace and to push back fear; to get through their daily tasks without breaking down.
Wounded, exhausted, pain-ravaged people are everywhere – and yet most of the time we’re fairly oblivious to them.
Parents whose children are terminally ill.
Couples in the middle of separation or divorce.
People grieving the loss of loved ones.
Kids being bullied at school.
Teenagers who want to end their lives.
Parents worried about their depressed teenager.
Spouses whose partners are deployed in combat.
Families with no idea how to keep the lights on.
Single parents with little help and little sleep.
Everyone is grieving and worried and fearful and yet none of them wear the signs, none of them have labels, and none of them come with written warnings signs reading, I’M STRUGGLING.
We should look more closely and deeply at everyone around us and to never assume they aren’t all just hanging on by a thread.
Because most people ARE, simply hanging on by a thread. Your simple act of kindness can be the difference.”
